The rooms at La Maison Porte Bonheur are absolutely charming, with a cozy feel and a homely atmosphere. I loved the tile/marble floor in the double room, it added a touch of elegance to my stay. The private pool was a delightful bonus, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring.

Personally, I found the soundproofing in the twin room to be a bit lacking. But hey, I'm a light sleeper, so you might not even notice it!

The owners of the hotel were exceptional hosts and made us feel right at home. The dinner by the pool was a delightful experience, with delicious food and the company of other guests. The freedom for dogs to roam anywhere on the property was a huge plus for us and our furry friend. The heated pool was a pleasant surprise, and we even enjoyed a swim after breakfast. The 300-year-old house had its own charm and the pool area with the monkeys was a unique touch. we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning.

Stayed here for a few days and had the best time! The hotel is tucked away in a charming little town, making it a perfect hideaway. The room was spacious and immaculate, with thoughtful touches like toys for the kids. The outdoor area was delightful, with a beautiful garden, pool, and seating. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food they provided was absolutely delicious. We also loved exploring the town, with its historic buildings and scenic river. Highly recommend this unique and welcoming place for a short break!

That it was a bit difficult to find the hotel as there was no signage. However, once we discovered it, it added to the adventure of our trip.

For the price, our stay at this hidden gem in a charming little village was excellent. The room was spacious, with thoughtful touches like toys for our kids and a lovely big shower. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even providing inflatables for the pool and checking what our children would eat for dinner.

Breakfast choices could be improved with a wider selection of drinks.

We had a delightful stay at this characterful guest house, a perfect stopover for us on the way to Italy from the UK. The deceptively spacious house is in a charming little village and has a beautiful garden & pool. The hosts were outstanding and went out of their way to accommodate us and our dog. The dinner and breakfast provided were delicious, with fresh ingredients from the garden. Our quirky room was immaculate and had all the little touches that made our stay memorable. The pool area was lovely, and we even swam after breakfast. a unique and enjoyable experience. Can just recommend this hotel.

I absolutely loved the charming and unique decoration of this guest house. The 300-year-old house had so many quirky features that added to its charm. The general areas, including the garden and pool, were well-maintained and beautiful. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be very accessible and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could provide a bit more assistance and support to older guests. Although they were friendly, a little more help would have been appreciated.
